FIRST LADY

Minister Kimberly Belser is the wife of Pastor John L. Belser, Sr. of the First Baptist Church, Melrose Park, Illinois.  She has dutifully worked alongside her husband, serving in various ministries with the First Baptist Church.

In 1991, Minister Belser was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ by her former Pastor, Rev. Lee H. Ivy of the Freewill Missionary Baptist Church.  In 2016, She was ordained as Minister by Pastor Belser at First Baptist Church.  Her passion to preach and teach the unadulterated gospel of Jesus Christ remains.  Minister Belser is a Sunday School teacher and is also Spiritual Growth and Development Cluster Coordinator.  Having a heart to encourage women, she serves as Women of Excellence's Ministry Leader.

Minister Belser has been instrumental in overseeing our annual Summer Youth Challenge, a summer enrichment program designed to challenge FBC youth to be the successful young men and women God has destined them to be.  One of her favorite scriptures is Colossians 2:23: “and whatsoever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and unto men.”

Minister Belser received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois, where she majored in Sociology, with a minor in Criminal Justice Sciences. She has served at Billy Graham Center in Wheaton, Illinois in the Institute for Prison Ministry. She has also studied at the Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Illinois.

Pastor and Sister Belser are the proud parents of four beautiful children.
